What We Do & Who We Work With

Know Yourself Psychology has been created to cater exclusively to men.

I came to psychology later in life and find I have a lot of shared experiences with my clients. I did not know anything about mental health prior to my training and so I did not benefit from any knowledge that might have guided me through tough spots. I just grit my teeth and suffered the consequences. Sound familiar? I set up Know Yourself Psychology as a place where men can come in, speak their mind, and not be judged. It's a relaxed place where we can do practical and logical work with a focus on skills and getting you to where you want to be as quickly as possible.

I’m trained to handle most issues, but like many psychologists, I tend to focus on certain areas. I work most often with men experiencing:

  • Stress

  • Anxiety (including OCD, panic attacks, and social anxiety)

  • Depression and other mood disorders

  • Relationship problems

  • Communication issues (including assertiveness training)

  • Self-identity struggles

  • Social pressures and challenges tied to masculinity

  • Tics & habits

  • Questions of purpose and meaning

  • Big life changes (like becoming a dad or moving countries)

  • Grief

  • Less specific—but no less overwhelming—life challenges
